The Strategies to Repair Equity and Transform Community Health (STRETCH) 2.0 initiative is excited to announce its fourth national convening! This event is co-developed and hosted by the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO), the CDC Foundation, and the Michigan Public Health Institute (MPHI) as partners in STRETCH.
This 90-minute session will focus on addressing the structural barriers that hinder advancement in government public health agencies (federal, state, and local). It will also share recommendations aimed at fostering collaboration, partnership, and sustainability within communities.
The authors of "The Community As A Full Partner: A New Model For Public Health" will lead a fishbowl-style presentation with the following experiential goals:
- Participants will conceptualize the barriers to public health and community partnership, specifically focusing on funding.
- Participants will identify opportunities to center community voices and implement equitable practices.
- Participants working in governmental organizations will understand how their roles can contribute to or undermine sustainable public health financing practices.
