Monday, July 15, 2024 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM   Eastern Standard Time

Join ASTHO and the National Alliance for Radiation Readiness (NARR) for a webinar focused on insights into radiation training for first responders and other audiences. During this session, speakers and participants will discuss how mental models and understanding of radiation and its risks can influence first responder actions in a radiological emergency.

Based on current research, responders who trust their training and leadership tend to execute expected procedures more effectively. However, misconceptions about radiation risks, such as overestimating dangers to radiation dosage, can impair responder performance. The takeaways from this webinar and insights into this research are poised to inform comprehension of how responders think about radiation and risk to guide the development of improved training protocols and enhanced preparedness of those on the ground.

Register now to learn more and share ideas regarding current radiation training protocols and opportunities for improvement.
